Hey guys and girls.
Thought it was about time i did a build thread on my boat,so here it is.

Its a 19ft Pelin Target bowrider,my father built it back in 1990 and is a glass over ply construction, powered by a 2 stroke 140hp.A weekend project that took about a year in total before launching it at westhaven in 1991.

A really good saltwater and lake boat, handles the waitamata harbour chop with ease.
I've grown up waterskiing but then discovered wakeboarding around 2001 and been hooked ever since, going on to installing a high pole and a fat sack
But back in 2007 at lake ohakuri our poor little yamaha gave up and through a piston into the head, came back down bent 45 degrees some how Shocked and punched a hole through the side of the bore.Cheers to the person who towed us back that afternoon on the lake Very Happy

So after bringing it back home to auckland me and the old man decided to give the whole boat a makeover seems we needed a new outboard and to bring it out that 90's looking era.
So we striped it completly, turned it over again sanded and re-painted it metalic blue, new graphics, shifted the driving console and windshield forward about 10 inches to gain a bit more seating room, new carpet, wrap around seating similar to a malibu wakesetter layout,7 speaker,1 sub,2 amp sound system, new canopys, trim tabs and of course a new 130hp 2 stroke yamaha.
Adam from x-air hooked me up with the tower and racks and did a fine job Very Happy
All up the whole re build cost around $26 grand,i know i could of spent that kind of money on a nice inboard but its a one of kind built to how i wanted it and its pretty hard to part with something your father built for you.
Cheers for reading.

That is so cool. Love the pimp my ride photos! Doing a similar thing (although not so drastic) to our boat now to get it better set up fro wakeboarding. New tower from X-Air too!

Hey Dacko boat is looking mint!

What the pics don't show is the internal structure of this boat, it is built very very well, getting access inside the hull underneath for the front tower mounting feet was impossible so we had to make custom ones that mounted from the side (see attached pic).

There must have been thousands of hours in rebuilding it to this standard Shocked ... well done to you and your dad, must be very satisfying to beable to start and finish a project like that Exclamation

Heres another pic.

Adam
