Hey, I'm relatively new to this sport and wish to might try my hand out at the nats this year. I do have a few querries about the regulations for the intermediate class.
Is a 180 counted as a rotation?
Is a reiley counted as an invert?
Are there going to be slider and ramps to smoke myself on?
Wicked. |

Last year the intermediate division was pretty hard. Most of the guys were hard core and should really have been in the Open. But the intermeduate went like this
360 minimum for rotation, 180 counts as a jump so if you grab and poke it out or something you'll still get points.
Inverts are inverts so no raileys dont count, and most people last year were pulling scarecrow's and stuff.
And I think they are putting a slider in again this year (need helmet though), dunno about a kicker _________________ The pursuit of excellence is often hindered by narcotic/alcoholic consumption, and so it should be! |

Sweet, cheers................. gonna have to go work on some rotations and inverts then!! 180s and tantrums is it so far, landed a wraped 3 the other day.................... bailed straight after! Should really go find a lid and try some slider action out too!
Cheers for that. Happy boarding(well for some at least, looks like I'm in for some pain in the next couple weeks!!) |

I loved the Nationals, it was lots of fun. The Tige' 20V towed our division and the wake was awesome: huge, thick and rampy, just like I like it. Thanks very much to those who had a hand in organising it and thanks to Jane for unknotting my rope on the dock, you rock! I was really impressed by your riding too, you'll give Andrea a run for her money in a few years.
I forgot to take my camera so no pics sorry. _________________ Niiiiiiiiiice

as a spectator i loved nationals too. a last minute decision saw us get there just before 11am saturday from wanganui. we sat in the sun all day, loving the action. what great riders NZ has (world best infact!)
also having so many sexy boats there to look at was a treat. although i noticed a lack of a blue sanger in the carpark. thought you must have given up and gone riding seems the water was so flat all day long ralph! |

Nope sadly.
Tried it a couple of times but crashed on all of them...Landed it a few times b4 the actual comp. but not on the day. Usually I either over rotate it or just go 2 big and freak myself out. If I take it any smaller, then I don't think that I will make it round but I always do.
Still I will keep trying till I land it consistently hopefully b4 the nxt comp. |
