Tige Australia announces alliance with
Greg Murphy Racing!
24th December 2003
After months of negotiation Tige Boats Australia officially announced
today that they have entered a long-term endorsement contract with
Greg Murphy Racing to co brand a new boat under the Tige and Greg
Murphy Racing Marquis for the 2004 production year.
Arguably one of the hottest drivers in the V8 Super Car Series
for 2003 Murphy narrowly missed taking the overall title while in
contention up to the last race of the season at Sydney’s Eastern
Creek race way.
"We are very excited about partnering with Murph to bring
this new boat to the Australian and New Zealand market for 2004.”
Said Australian Director of Tige Boats Adam Houlahan. “Greg
has had a lot of input into the standard features that will be on
offer and it will certainly stand out from the crowd.”
The first Greg Murphy Racing edition will come off the production
line in late January 2004 and will be immediately shipped to Murph
for his approval, with stock available through all Australian and
New Zealand Tige Dealers from March 2004.
"I am stoked to be working with Tige on this project, we
have been keen to develop a boat under the Greg Murphy Racing banner
for some time,” said Murphy. “Tige is one of the most
innovative manufacturers in the world, and TAPS has revolutionized
the inboard boat market since it’s development and I would
not want to run a boat with out it .”
