CORRECT CRAFT PROVIDES $300,000 FOR AUSTRALIAN
PRO TOUR OF WAKEBOARDING
The official Australian Pro Tour of Wakeboarding, staged throughout
the month of January each year, received a boost today with Correct
Craft committing to a three-year naming rights sponsorship deal
for AIR NAUTIQUES worth more than $300,000.
The Haines Group, one of Australia’s largest and most established
boating organisations, will supply the latest new Super Air Nautique
Team Edition wake-boat every year for the next three years to be
the official tow-boat of the Australian Tour.
Managing Director of The Haines Group, Mr John Haines Jnr is delighted
with the outcome:
“Correct Craft is committed to ensuring the continued success
of the Australian Pro Tour and is delighted to have secured a three
year naming rights deal. The Haines Group has been a passionate
supporter of the sport since its inception in Australia and we are
looking forward to working with the organisers to further develop
the Tour into a truly world-class sporting event,” Mr Haines
said.
The Australian Tour has grown to become one of the country’s
leading extreme sport competitions, attracting more than 35,000
spectators and 160 competition entrants over the four rounds of
the 2006 Tour. Crowd numbers have steadily increased since the inaugural
events in 2003. Now in its 5th year, organisers expect more than
60,000 spectators for the 2007 Tour and 180 competition entrants
– including Australian, US and European champions.
Tour Director Dimitris Limnatitis said the continued support and
involvement of major industry brands and organisations like Air
Nautique, Correct Craft and The Haines Group shows how much international
respect the competition has from the industry:
“The Air Nautiques Australian Pro Tour of Wakeboarding is
the peak contest series for wakeboarding in the southern hemisphere,
with Ozzy riders now having the highest ranking in the world. The
Tour will saturate January with four stops across the eastern states
providing non-stop on-water action, and plenty of off-water activities
and entertainment for everyone to enjoy,” Mr Limnatitis said.
“As organisers we are thrilled to have the latest model
Super Air Nautique wake-boats towing the world’s best riders,”
he said.
