Andrea Fountain at the WWA Wakeboarding

Fort Worth provided the back drop for the biggest and most well
recognised event of the season for every professional wakeboarder
& wakeskater. With a team of kiwi’s trailing their way
to Texas, Pro Women rider Andrea Fountain, a member of the high
performance `Pinnacle Programme’ backed by Hyundai, represented
the country in the not so ideal conditions.
Fountain was one of the top seeded riders from her 3rd place at
this event in 2005, last off the dock in the first heat in the Quarter
Finals on Friday 22nd September. The Pro women riders put the pressure
on laying down solid passes. Fountain completely several solid tricks
in the conditions, fell on more than one occasion however, leaving
it open for other pro riders to progress through to the Semi Finals.
Andrea said of her ride “I watched all the girls ride, and
they rode solid considering the conditions. Unfortunately I let
that get the better of me of a mental level, something I am aiming
never to repeat again. It was a huge disappointment to end the the
US Season like that.”

Next event for Andrea Fountain is the 4th Stop of the WWC World
Cup Series in Singapore this coming weekend.
